The Difference Between Feelings and Emotions

Why do we ignore what feels true and follow fear instead? Why do we overthink, doubt ourselves, or feel lost even when something inside us quietly knows?

Maybe much of suffering comes from a confusion we were never taught to see: the difference between protective emotions and deeper feelings.

The mind speaks loudly. It creates stories, urgency, fear, reasons, and the need for certainty and control. Feelings speak differently — quietly, without argument, as intuition, peace, love, or a deeper sense of what feels true.

What if fear is not intuition? What if overthinking is not wisdom?

What if much of suffering comes from negotiating against ourselves?

This talk offers a practical way to understand what is moving inside us, recognize the difference between emotion and feeling, and begin making clearer decisions, suffering less, and living more honestly through what we deeply feel.
